Our Local Action Plan consultation for Clarkston closes on Monday 14 November.
We've had some great ideas and engagement from the local community, so if you have already added your thoughts, why not go and check what others have said? If you like any of them, you can give it a 'thumbs-up'. This will help us identify the most popular ideas.
And, if you're part of a community group and have an idea for something you'd like to see in your neighbourhood, applications for the Place Based Investment Programme fund will open in January 2023.
You can find further information and how to apply here: https://www.eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk/PBIP
A big thanks to everyone who has participated.
We're almost one week into our Clarkston local action plan and we've had a great response - thanks to those who've already had their say online.
If you or anyone you know would like to discuss the consultation in person, then why not come to one of our drop-in sessions and give your opinion on how to improve the spaces and places in their town.
You can discuss any of our current consultations at these events, so we hope to see you there.
Thank you for showing interest in this survey which will help inform a Local Action Plan for Clarkston.
Over the next 5 years, the UK and Scottish Governments are providing capital regeneration funding opportunities for town centres and neighbourhoods across Scotland and our Economic Development team want to ensure that communities in East Renfrewshire are able to make the most of these opportunities by delivering on transformational plans across the area.
The Local Action Plans will help identify and develop projects that could be delivered when funding opportunities arise.
The investments can cover a wide range of projects such as upgrading town centre public realm and green spaces, making better use of land and existing buildings, shop front improvement schemes, improved digital connectivity and developing active travel opportunities.
The detailed responses received will be discussed within the Council and with stakeholders, and a draft list of short, medium, and long-term projects will be produced for further public input prior to finalisation.
The online consultation for Clarkston (including Netherlee and Williamwood) will run from 3 October until the 14th November 2022. There'll also be public meetings during the day and in the evenings as follows:
You are welcome to attend any of these meetings
If you'd like to be kept informed about regeneration in your area and haven't already subscribed, email business@eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk and include your name, post code and town of interest.
